On Friday, September 27th, over 200 people gathered together for CASA Lake County's 2024 Gala at the Westin Chicago Northshore. Thanks to generous attendees and supporters, the event raised $480,180 for CASA Lake County's program! Funds raised at our Gala will help us to recruit, supervise, and train additional volunteers to advocate for at least 192 more children in foster care in Lake County for the next year.

We recognized Joanna Lynn as the Terri Zenner Award Honoree for her years of dedicated service as a CASA volunteer, and as a member of the Board of Directors and Gala chairperson for seven consecutive years.

There was not a dry eye in the room as former CASA youth and current Emory University student Sanaii Williams, shared her journey of perseverance through foster care and how her two CASAs Pam and Judy made an impact on her.

We are so appreciative to Marcus Lemonis and Camping World who made a surprise $100,000 donation in honor of Brent Moody,
CASA Lake County Board President.

The event was a huge success in raising the funds needed, and we are so grateful!
Will you help us ensure that we have enough volunteers so we can put the funds into action?
Consider becoming a CASA volunteer or share the information with someone that you think would be interested!
